Nadrasca CityFarm

A Shorten Labor Government will invest $1 million in the Nadrasca CityFarm project in Vermont South to support life­changing work and training opportunities for our community and people with disability. Read more.

Croydon Town Centre

The Croydon Town Centre project will create a welcoming and vibrant town square connecting Croydon Main Street with buses and trains. This new public space along with improved day and night time safety will boost local business and encourage visitors and locals alike to stay longer and visit more often. Read more.

Maroondah Hospital Parking

New parking spaces will allow patients who currently miss their appointments due to the car park lottery to access the services they need. It will also mean that staff no longer have to move their cars every two hours, and local residential parking will no longer be taken up by overflow from the hospital. Read more.

South Croydon Football Club

Funding will enable the South Croydon Football Club to train in the evenings and allow more regular use of the facilities. Moving the coaches’ box and improving the landscaping will also improve the quality of the facilities and the local area. Read more.

Central Ringwood Community Garden

Under a Shorten Labor Government, local residents will be able to grow their own produce at a new community garden, located at the Central Ringwood Community Centre. The new garden will provide a communal outdoor space, allowing community members to grow produce together and strengthening cultural ties. Read more.

Silcock Reserve Pavilion

A Shorten Labor Government will build a brand-new multipurpose pavilion at Silcock Reserve. The new pavilion will include four new change rooms, areas overlooking the sports grounds and separate kitchens and amenities to meet the needs of local community and sporting clubs. Read more.

Proclamation Park Pavilion

Proclamation Park will gain a new baseball and cricket pavilion under a Shorten Labor Government, Labor’s candidate for Deakin, Tony Clark, announced today. The new pavilion will resolve current safety and accessibility issues and better meet the needs of local baseball and cricket clubs, and the community. The upgrades at Proclamation Park will make it a first class location for track-and-field sports, cricket and baseball. Read more.

Whitehorse Scout Halls

Under a Shorten Labor Government, Scout Halls across Whitehorse will be upgraded and refurbished with the facilities they need to make them into modern community spaces. For some of the halls, the upgrades will also remove asbestos, a much-needed safety improvement. Read more.
